For this concentration piece I chose to do "pallanguzhi" an indian game that is like mancala, but is based less on luck and more on strategy. I chose this because my grandmother bought me this game and taught me to play when I was very young when she visited from India. It's one of the earliest memories I have with her and I spent a lot of my summers playing this game with my family.
I began by sketching out the board and then the little holes, and it was a little difficult to get them all to be even in shape and size. I then started drawing the shells inside and then added shadows around them. I chose to make the background a bluish gray because I thought it would contrast nicely with the light wood grain
